My partner and I argue because he is always at work. He works maybe 15 hours a day and sometimes seven days a week. It\\’s really really annoying and it bothers me a lot because we don\\’t really spend any time together. I feel like we\\’re more like casual friends. Not that we\\’re partners. I mean, I knew in the beginning that he had a very demanding job, but I didn\\’t know that he would be gone for so many hours and maybe even a whole week. Like, I only ever see him when he comes home to bed with me, and that\\’s about it. I think if we\\’re just fighting like this all the time about work and lack of time, then it\\’s really very sad. It\\’s very challenging, really for everyone, at least that\\’s how I think of it, it\\’s very challenging and I also told myself that if I ever happened to find another man somewhere else that I would break up with this current one. And I would break up with him just because he\\’s busy. And I\\’ve also wondered many times if he\\’s doing it on purpose, that he doesn\\’t have time, because with me he\\’s actually having a blast, so for him to maintain some kind of love relationship or affair with me, it\\’s paying off, because I only work until one o\\’clock in the afternoon and then I\\’m at the home office, so I can clean and cook and iron and wash his clothes, so I think that\\’s what he likes, but if I found out that he had a partner somewhere else or that he was just using me and that our relationship was just for show, I would be really unhappy and sad. I might even slap him, it depends on how I\\’d feel at that particular moment, but it bothers me a lot. But I\\’m sure I\\’m not the only one who also has problems like this, that someone is really long in the tooth. My friend, on the other hand, has a partner who takes the long-distance bus and is gone for a whole month at a time.
